Unhappiness: that’s what we want

If we pretend we’re looking to be happy, it is nonetheless obvious that we often prefer staying in our unhappiness!

I give you a demonstration right away !

The affirmations are a way to focus on what we want and make all things relating to that more conscious. To that extent it can be extremely beneficial to remind us of the goal we’re aiming at. For that we can simply state aloud the reality we want. Like :

  • I am rich
  • I feel loved
  • I am very confident
  • etc …

I suggest you stand up straight, take a deep breath and state what you desire with a clear and determined voice.

Even if you think that has no real interest to do that, it is very easy to do it twice a day, for 30 secondes each time. Don’t you agree?

Well I bet you won’t be able to do it for very long! I mean you won’t do that for 7 days in a row.

Why? Because you’re very well in your present state. YES!!! You want to stay in your present state, no matter what you say!

And we can feel how much we want to stay in a gloomy humour sometimes. We listen to songs that maintain and develop that state. And we refuse to take any kind of action that would draw us away from that situation. Because we enjoy being like that!

It can be surprising to say so, but it is a fact.

Why woud we want to stay in our unhappiness? I believe that the driving force is our stories. If we don’t maintain those sad or irritating moments, we can’t justify all the negative stories we have about the world, ourself, etc…

So, to make it simple, we have a choice to make each time we feel unhappy. What do we really want? And if we say honestly that we want to be happy, then at least should we be able to stand up straight and state a positive result we’re looking to.

But feelings of discomfort are going to arise at this moment…

And that’s the moment we have a choice to make… for real, this time!
