Be less specific to reach your goal

The first advice we often hear to reach a goal is to be very specific. I think that’s very important, but in the same time I think we also need to do the opposite.

To be very specific helps us to know and to perceive things that are related to our goal as precisely as possible. Obviously that’s going to be very helpful.

Now I also think that we are often stuck at a much broader level. Like:

  • The perception of ourself
  • Our beliefs
  • Our self-confidence (or lack of)
  • The perception of our world

All that needs to be dealt with too!

How can we handle them? At the level of our entire life. Not that we should take every item and try to “solve” them. But I think that if we can have a vision of ourself and our goal kind of linked to every other aspects of our life, things can become much easier.

I mean, can you perceive your entire life, day to day, your feelings, yourself, your vision of your life, all that with your goal accomplished being a part of if?

The objective is to become another you. A you who has reached this goal. Why? Because if you still treat yourself and your vision of your life is as someone who needs to reach this goal, then you are keeping yourself away from the right attitude to have in order to reach this goal.

Say otherwise, in order to reach a goal, you must first be the person who can reach this goal. And if you want to interfere at this level, it is everytime that you must perceive things otherwise.

So be very specific as to what is precisely the goal you want to achieve, and be very clear in your daily life, your daily actions and attitudes, on who you are (or who you decide to be)!

Now play with your goals, and achieve everything you want 😉
