I love this expression! It means so many interesting things…
When you impersonate someone in order to become this person, you’re not faking 100%.
Because you’re in the process of becoming what you want. So you have to take on the behaviors and the attitudes of this new character you’re building. To this extent you’re only putting on your new “clothes”.
What you’re doing is only a fake if you compare that to who you were before. If you want to change your personality you have to change at some point. And you’ve just decided this point was now!
Moreover, faking to be someone else, is the best way to entirely focus all your attention on your end goal. And guess what! If you feed all your mind and your awareness with what you want, chances are that the only place you can end up is… where you want to be!
So fake it (or not) but take on the personality you desire and take the corresponding actions in the same time. That’s exactly how you’re going to be 100% who you decided you were!
