I set several kinds of practice in order to keep my mind focused on what I want to develop in my life. Because obviously, what you focus on develops!
For that I take note every evening of two things that were in the direction of the change I want to see. Even very small things.
These days I want to develop my relations with girls. So I note every nice encounter I make, every interaction that I enjoyed during the day. Even the smallest positive interaction.
That way not only do I keep in mind those aspects and give them more importance, more value, rather than letting my mind wandering on negative aspects. But I also develop the emotions that I lived by remembering them.
Emotions are our engine, our fuel. We have to manage them so that they work for us, for our goals, for what we want.
There are a lot of things we can do in order to change our emotions.
And little routines like that, done every day, are a simple yet very effective way to keep our mind fixed on what we have choosen to develop.
