How you create your unhappiness, and how to stop it

We tend to solve our personal problems by “seeing” a solution somewhere. When I say somewhere, I mean somewhere external to us. A solution in someone, or a solution in a job, an object…

But the problem is something personal, that can always be summarized in “I don’t feel happy”. So we look for a solution. And as we look for a solution outside, we overlook our real problem, which is always in ourself.

Now comes the root of a real unhappiness! Yes, because we always find a “solution” outside. And guess what, this solution is always a false solution. An illusion…

So now, not only do you have a personal problem, but you are also pursuing an illusory solution. And you’re even likely to reach this solution… You know, to get the job you wanted, the car you wanted, or even the wife (or husband) you wanted… And so for a time you’ll really feel that your personal problem is solved! But that solution is “working” just the time you reach it, when you are so happy and so convinced that your problem is solved!

After a little while, you realise you still have your problem. So as you thought you had the solution, you’ll see the problem in a fault of your solution. Your boss or your colleagues are not as nice as they should be, or maybe is it your wife…

Now you see your problem in them, or in those external factors. And now you’re in big trouble.

As long as you feel your life is lacking something, you can look as clearly as possible and see what’s your problem. But when you have built a solution you have also built a way to stay away from the unique solution. Not only are you still unhappy, but external persons, events, objects are ruling your (un)happiness.

And we always loose at this game…

So I want you to reconsider one single thing. YOU are always the source of your happiness, and YOU have all the resources to face anything and to feel great at ANYTIME!

I want you to see that and stay focused on you and your real potential. Not in a year, or in a month. Your potential to feel great (because you ARE great) right now!

When you feel unhappy, please, just move, dance, run, do whatever, but move. Your feelings are going to change instantly, just enough to feel you’re on the right track.

And start to change your stories that make you feel unhappy depending on what’s happening outside of you. You are always the resource you need to create a fun and friendly world around you!
